06/17/2014-Good news!!! Malyk Wood has received offers by Pratt, South Dakota, Alabama Southern Juco and Columbus State yesterday!!!! Other schools interested are North California, Benedict, Stillman, St. Andrew and Marion Military College.

Jayson Snearl 06/07/2014- Accepted a full academic scholarship to attend FAMU this coming fall, and will also try out for the basketball team!!!!!!!!! Congrats go out to Jayson from the HESE family.
06/02/2014-The young wolverines had a good showing this week in the YBOA GA division 2 state tournament. They went 1-2 while being short handed, and they played hard even though shoots were not falling. The effort never stopped through out the weekend. Coach Harris is proud of the team and the progress they have made in such a short time!!!!
James walker 05/21/2014-Signed a scholarship to play basketball for Gordan State College. The HESE family would like to say congrats to James!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard work does pay off.
04/24/2014-The young wolverines went 1-3 last weekend but they performed well on the court. As they continue to develop their skills, I expect to see tremendous growth as the season progress!!!
4/15/2014 -The 2014 7th grade Wolverines have been practicing three days a week. We've had two new players join our team and they have demonstrated great potential on the court. The players are ready to showcase their hard work on Friday. Please wear your maroon and white as we cheer on the WOLVERINES!!
Malyk Wood-#66 (6’7)04/06/2014- At the Phenom unsign senior most potential of any player at the event. Raw athletic talent that is very active on the boards. Gets a lot of stick back rebounds. Extremely long. Very passionate player that had some great plays through out the showcase.
James Walker 03/27/2014- of Lithonia, Georgia helped lead Miller Grove to its sixth straight State Championship in which he landed offers from Cleveland State, Jacksonville State, and Savannah Sate. The Spring Showcase at Oglethorpe University was a great opportunity for uncommitted players to show their specialties. James played a couple of tournament with the wolverines this years but like so many other kids i have coach James on and off since he was 14yrs old.

The 6-foot-6 forward from Mays High School in Atlanta is an athletic forward who plays hard on both ends of the floor. Numerous Division III programs attend On the Radar Hoops Spring Showcase this weekend and there were a number of high academic prospects that left impressions with these coaches.
Malyk Wood 03/25/2014- Recruiting for this young man is heating up with a list of college trying sign this young man, over 11 (Central Georgia Tech,University of Arkansas Monticello, Belmont Abbey, Benedict College, AIB-Iowa, Baltimore CC, Wiley College, Georgia Highland College, Blinn College, Chowen University, and Ohio Valley University) schools are in the mixes with some already offering full scholarships. Keep you eye on the team news page, cause we will break the news once he sign.
Anthony (Stephon) King 03/21/2014- Got a partial scholarship offer to play football for Troy University. He was a two years player for the Wolverines and one the team Point Guards.
03/19/2014- The young Wolverines had their first workout with Personal Trainer Derrick Greene, and got a taste of what it takes to be a college athlete. Derrick Greene is the owner of d-Renards in Stone Mountain and devotes alot of time with the youth in the community. Before you head for the mountain, stop by d-Renards and tell him Coach Harris sent you.
Murad Dillard- Signed a scholarship to play basketball for Wheaton College Chicago, Murad was a part time player for the wolverines but Coach Harris has coached him on and off since he was twelve. As you can see thing are picking up for the wolverines and I know there will be more scholarship to come soon. Keep the HESE Wolverines Team in your prayers.

02/20/2014 Murad Dillard (6'4, Guard, Decatur High School; 2014)-made the Georgia 3A All-Region Team!!!! HESE just want to take this moment to say congrats, Murad with us a couple torunaments and is part of the HESE family.
First day of workout for the young 2014 wolverines went great, i was really please with the hard work these 6th graders put in. Also we had former HESE player Jalon Harris to come back and work with the kids on skill and drill.

Malyk Wood (6’ 7, Forward, Arabia Mountain; 2014) – Emerging prospect with good size and potential. Has the ability to play facing the basket and is comfortable putting the ball on the floor and penetrating to rim. Has solid footwork in the post. Active on the offensive glass, scoring on a number of tip-ins and put backs. Good upside potential.
Tyrone Sam (6’ 4, SG, Roswell; 2014)
Athletic guard prospect who was one of the camp’s top overall performers. Showed very well rounded offensive game and skill set. He can handle the ball well and uses quickness to attack the rim. Gets off the floor well. Above average jump shooter. Rebounds very well from guard spot. Difference maker on both ends of floor. With continued physical development and increased physical strength, he has the potential to be a very nice player at the Division I level.
Team news for the new year Jalon Harris just completed his first semster of college with a big 3.80 GPA and is looking for bigger better things for the future. Marquis Pilgrim is about start school at Albany state on 01-06-2014 looking great things from him. Justin Syphoe just finished up an outstanding senior season with Redan high School by being in the top 10 of most catgorys in Dekalb County. He is also receiving interest from Georgia Southwestern and Pope Unversity. Malyk Wood is having an outstanding season at Arbia Mountain leading his team in reb. and block shoot, he is also receiving interest from some colloge also. Jayson Snearl is working really hard at Mays and he is getting interest from Hamliton and West Georgia. Tyler Axam finish up a great senior season at decatur high school leading the team in assist and is a top defender and is planning on attending Clemson University. We will be hearing big things from Tyler in the future. Jaquan Herny plays for lithonia high school. Stephon king play for woodland high school. Malek Davis plays for Redan High School. So if you want to watch some good high school ball please go check out some of the wolverines in there region tournaments this week.
